Bianca Belair: 2022 Biography, Net Worth, Family, Income

Bianca Blair Crawford, better known as Bianca Belair, was born on April 9, 1989, in Knoxville, Tennessee. She is a former track and field athlete and professional wrestler currently signed with WWE.

Prior to signing for WWE, Belair was a highly successful college athlete. She specifically excelled in track and field, becoming an All-American and All-SEC selection at the University of Tennessee in 2012. She then entered the world of CrossFit and appeared regularly on the regional circuits before an injury meant she couldn’t continue in that field of competition.

In 2016 Belair put herself onto WWE’s radar by submitting herself to their prospects database, and after two try-outs, she was signed to a contract and assigned to the Performance Center. The following year she made her TV debut on NXT as part of a battle royal to determine the number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. But her breakthrough came when she participated in the inaugural Mae Young Classic tournament.

Over the next year, Belair established herself as a standout performer on the NXT roster. She amassed an undefeated streak of 367 days before entering the championship scene. Despite being unsuccessful in her title pursuits, she remained one of the brand’s top stars. In 2019 she competed in the first-ever women’s WarGames match and as part of Team NXT at Survivor Series the following night. In 2020 she appeared in the Royal Rumble, entering as the second participant and went on to eliminate eight other competitors tying her with Shayna Baszler as the record number of eliminations in a women’s rumble match.

Belair made her main roster debut at WrestleMania 36 with the Street Profits against the trio of Zelina Vega, Angel Garza, and Austin Theory. She defeated Vega in several matches before being drafted to SmackDown in the WWE Draft. On the blue brand, Belair’s stock rose when she won the 2021 Royal Rumble and set the record for the longest time spent in the women’s match at 56 minutes.

The win saw Belair face Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 37. It was the first time two Black women had met in a singles match for a championship at WrestleMania in WWE history. Belair came away with the win and the first title in her career. Following the victory, she entered a feud with Bayley that saw Belair successfully defend her title at WrestleMania Backlash and Hell in a Cell. She continued to make history by becoming the first woman to defend her championship at the world’s biggest hip-hop festival Rolling Loud.

At SummerSlam, Becky Lynch made a surprise return and sucker punched Belair to dethrone her as the SmackDown Women’s Champion. After two unsuccessful attempts to retrieve the title, the WWE draft moved her to Raw. At Elimination Chamber, Belair became the number-one contender for the Raw Women’s Championship, which was held Becky Lynch, thus continuing their feud. At WrestleMania 38, Belair defeated Lynch to capture the Raw title for the first time in her career. Belair and Lynch continued to feud over the title until Belair retained at SummerSlam, ending their long-running rivalry.

After the match, Bayley returned from injury with her new crew, Damage CTRL and immediately targeted Belair. The feud led to several matches between the two and saw Belair retain the title in a Ladder Match at Extreme Rules and a Last Woman Standing Match and Crown Jewel with the rivalry culminating at Survivor Series WarGames.
