Bianca Belair has had mixed fortunes at SummerSlam.
Following on from the infamous 26-second championship defeat to Becky Lynch at the 2021 event, The EST would get her vengeance at WrestleMania and retain the title over Big Time Becks in 2022. Following the retention, Belair and Lynch were immediately interrupted by the debut of Damage CTRL featuring Bayley, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky.
The 2023 PLE would see Belair taste victory and defeat in a very short space of time. After winning the title effectively on one leg, Sky’s music would play and Miss Money in the Bank would sprint to the ring. Targeting the injured Belair, Sky would pin The EST to become the new Women’s Champion, ending Belair’s reign in under 2 minutes.
Belair was asked about being the victim of a cash-in while speaking with Mike Jones. The former Women’s Champion is not mad at The Genius of the Sky, revealing that she would have done the same thing if the tables were turned:
“I was champion for 90 seconds. I try to laugh about it to keep my spirits high. I always say, it still counts. At the end of the day, IYO SKY came out, she cashed in on me after I had gone through a 30-minute match with an injured knee. I’m not making excuses for it. If I was IYO SKY, I would have probably done the same thing, that’s what being Ms. Money in the Bank is all about.
I’m definitely coming after that title, I only got to hold it in my hands for 90 seconds, the brand new WWE Women’s Title, I definitely want to hold it in my hands for longer than 90 seconds. You best believe I’m coming back with a vengeance and I’m after IYO SKY for revenge,” she said.
In recent news it has been reported that Bianca Belair is taking some time away from WWE.
Bianca Belair Has Big Plans For Future WrestleMania
With WWE being the worldwide leader in sports entertainment, it has been questioned why a WrestleMania has not taken place outside of North America. Belair would also like to see Mania debut in a new country, believing that is only a matter of time.
