Jade Cargill Sets Sights On WrestleMania Main Event, Reveals Dream Opponent

Jade Cargill is aiming for a WrestleMania main event slot.

Before Cargill had even officially left AEW, fans were excitedly planning WWE dream matches for the former TBS Champion. The prospect of Cargill stepping into the ring with the likes of Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, and Becky Lynch, set social media on fire, and the hype hadn’t gone unnoticed by the woman herself.

After finally signing a multi-year deal with WWE on September 26th, Cargill was interviewed by ESPN about the move, and her plans for the future.

When the prospect of dream matches came up, Cargill was specifically asked about the prospect of squaring off against Bianca Belair. The former AEW star said she was looking forward to the potential match, calling it a “WrestleMania main event.”

“I am [looking forward to it]. And it’s definitely a WrestleMania main event. That’s something that will have people glued to television screens, is that something that will have people buying out stadiums, that’s a dream match. And I think people will show up and show up for that one.”

When asked about the signing of Jade Cargill, Becky Lynch said it was a great move.

Speaking elsewhere, the star discussed her reasoning behind joining WWE, and her thoughts on AEW. Jade Cargill said she’d been in a preparation stage before signing with WWE, but the move was always her long-term goal.
