Bianca Belair isn’t expected back on television quite yet.
On the August 18th episode of SmackDown, Bianca Belair was viciously attacked backstage by Damage CTRL, with her knee being the focus of the beatdown. The segment was part of an ongoing storyline and used to write the former Women’s Champion off TV.
At the time it was reported that Belair’s absence was planned well in advance, although there was no word on when she would return.
Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer notes that the star will be back with WWE by December at the latest.
Belair did an interview with Metro saying that she was taking time off for self-care. “We did some things with us personally that I’m so excited about, it has to do with the future.” She noted that she’s writing a children’s book and that her reality show with husband Ford, called “The Crawfords” (their real family name) will debut on Hulu at the end of this year or early next year. Belair is supposed to be back by at least December because she’s advertised for Smackdown tapings that month. . .
Bianca Belair has since stated she hopes to be back on SmackDown soon.

During a recent interview, Charlotte Flair talked up the possibility of going one-on-one with Belair. The Queen said the match was destined to happen at WrestleMania, it’s just a matter of which one.
