Ronda Rousey Competes In Main Event Of Independent Wrestling Show With Surprising Finish

On November 16th, Ronda Rousey took centre stage at Wrestling REVOLVER‘s Unreal event, teaming up with Marina Shafir to face AEW‘s Athena and Billie Starkz in the main event.

Despite facing a challenging moment when she took a suplex from Starkz and landed on her head, Ronda Rousey displayed her tenacity by continuing the match. The bout culminated in a no-contest after Athena attacked Rousey with the ROH Women’s Championship. Undeterred, Rousey expressed gratitude to the audience for their unwavering support as the event drew to a close.

This marked Rousey’s second match post-WWE, following her appearance at a Lucha VaVoom event on October 28th. During the impromptu match, Rousey and Shafir triumphed over Brian Kendrick and Taya Valkyrie. Notably, Ronda Rousey’s departure from WWE came after her final match at SummerSlam in August, where Shayna Baszler emerged victorious in an MMA rules match.

When Did Ronda Rousey Debut With WWE?

Having commenced her professional wrestling journey in WWE, Ronda Rousey made her debut at WrestleMania 34 in 2018, partnering with Kurt Angle to defeat Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

Rousey made her first WWE appearance in an interview after the 2014 SummerSlam, she then was involved in a segment at WrestleMania 31 with The Rock and The Authority which culminated in Rousey throwing Triple H out of the ring.

It was then reported in 2017 that Rousey had signed a full-time contract with WWE and she began training at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

During the same show, Adam Page made a surprise appearance to launch an attack on Swerve Strickland.
