Mercedes Mone Wants Top Money To Return To WWE; How Does Her Price Compare To Charlotte Flair’s?

Mercedes Mone Sasha Banks

Mercedes Mone doesn’t come cheap.

The former Sasha Banks hasn’t been seen in WWE since walking out of the company alongside Trinity Fatu in May of 2022. In January of 2023, she returned to the world of wrestling at Wrestle Kingdom 17, confronting IWGP Women’s Champion KAIRI, who she would later defeat for the title in February.

There were plans in place for Mone to work with All Elite Wrestling, but disaster struck in May when she broke her ankle in a match against Willow Nightingale at NJPW STRONG Resurgence. The injury caused a mid-match finish change and Nightingale was crowned the inaugural NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion, an honor that was supposed to go to Mone.

While injured, Mone appeared on-screen at AEW All In in London, indicating that there were still plans for her to find herself All Elite when her injury healed. However, recent reports indicate that the plans between Mone and AEW have cooled, and speculation has begun as to whether or not she might return to WWE.

Mercedes Mone’s Asking Price Higher Than Charlotte Flair’s New WWE Deal

Fightful Select recently reported that Charlotte Flair had signed a new deal with WWE, and that her new contract included a huge money increase as well as a tour bus. According to the report, Flair is set to be one of the highest-paid women in the history of the company under her new deal.

Speaking on the most recent edition of The Hump, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that Mercedes Mone’s asking price to return to WWE is higher than the new deal signed by Charlotte Flair. Sapp wrote on social media:

“We revealed on today’s episode of The Hump that word within the industry was that Mercedes Mone’s asking price was above what we heard Charlotte got on her new WWE deal”
