Adam Page Makes Shock Appearance At Independent Show; Attacks Swerve Strickland [Video]

“Hangman” Adam Page does not want to wait for Full Gear.

On the go-home episode of Dynamite, Page and Swerve Strickland had their final face-to-face before their Texas Death Match at the next AEW pay-per-view. While it was explicitly stated that they were not allowed to make contact on Dynamite, there was nothing to say this rule applied outside of AEW.

As seen in the independent show Revolver UNREAL on November 16th, Page launched a sneak attack on Strickland. The former Tag Team Champion was in the ring to hype up the upcoming rematch on November 18th and was advertised ahead of time, promising violence against Page. Suddenly the crowd would come alive as Page, who was not scheduled to appear, dove into the ring and attacked his Full Gear opponent. Security separated the two men with Strickland being dragged out of the ring.

Page remained and stated that Strickland would be a dead man at Full Gear. A video of the encounter can be seen below:

AEW has previously worked with independent promotions to promote their larger events. As seen at a RevPro show one night before All In, Chris Jericho launched a surprise attack on Will Ospreay to promote their match at Wembley Stadium.

Despite Strickland defeating Page at WrestleDream, the former Tag Team Champion was far from done with the cowboy. Taking the feud to an uncomfortable level, Strickland and Prince Nana would invade Page’s home and find themselves in the bedroom of Page’s child. Page would get some revenge by diving Strickland off the stage and through the table.

Adam Page To Remain With AEW For The Long Haul

2024 is set to be a major year for contract negotiations as multiple stars are reportedly close to the ends of their deals and World Champion MJF making it no secret that his deal runs out on January 1st. However, The Elite will remain in All Elite Wrestling for the foreseeable future as Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks and Adam Page have all signed new AEW contracts back in August.
