One defining moment at WrestleMania 31 continues to spark debate, with WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash firmly in the belief that “the chosen one” was mishandled.

WrestleMania 31 was a massive event with legendary matches, including Triple H vs. Sting, John Cena vs. Rusev, and the famous main event between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns where Seth Rollins cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase.

However, preceding Rollins’ historic cash-in, a momentous clash unfolded between Bray Wyatt and the Undertaker.

The Undertaker won the bout against up-and-comer Bray Wyatt, after Wyatt had carried the entire feud on-screen, with Undertaker making no live appearances prior to the Pay-Per-View.

Speaking on the latest edition of his “Kliq This” podcast, in the wake of the tragic passing of Bray Wyatt, Kevin Nash has hit out at the match’s booking.

“He was on a different plane … they were so different.”

“It was a believable gimmick and the thing was, and I will say it to the day I die –- if you weren’t gonna put over Bray at WrestleMania against The Undertaker … I was at that show and it was time.”

“He was the chosen one and it would have put him over the top and he didn’t win. I think his push kind of took a s**t. You could have raised the stock in Bray.”

The Undertaker defeated Bray Wyatt in fifteen minutes. They would meet again later that year at Survivor Series 2015, where Undertaker and his brother Kane would beat Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper in ten minutes.

What Was Kevin Nash’s Role at WrestleMania 31?

On his podcast, Kevin Nash mentioned that he was at WrestleMania 31. His role on the show was to feature in a one-time reunion of the New World Order.

During the Triple H and Sting match, the New World Order had Sting’s back, whereas D-Generation X has Triple H’s back.

The two factions had a brief battle at ringside as the battle between Triple H and Sting commenced in-ring.
