Jey Uso Brings Back ‘Yeet’ Catchphrase

The wrestling world was rocked when Jey Uso was forced to stop using his much-loved catchphrase “Yeet” due to trademark issues.

The WWE superstar popularised the term earlier this year during his hilarious Fastlane post show press conference. The word quickly caught on and became synonymous with his character. Fans chanted it during his matches and the release of a “Yeet” t-shirt proved to be extremely popular.

However, WWE was forced to abandon the catchphrase and merchandise in December 2023 after it was discovered that an independent wrestler named Kasey Huffman had already trademarked the term.

Uso stopped using the word on WWE television, the shirt was removed from the online store and footage of the merchandise was blurred out. However, there was a glimmer of hope for all of the Yeet lovers out there when on December 9th, Uso hinted that the catchphrase could be returning when posted it on social media.
