As Triple H’s social media post and the subsequent t-shirts stated Hell officially froze over when CM Punk made his sensational return to WWE at Survivor Series: WarGames.
Since his bombastic comeback fans have been speculating about potential matches for the former World Champion. Punk is a top star who sets the wrestling world on fire whenever he speaks, therefore, his stature places him at the top of the card and against those in similar positions.
Due to his negative response to Punk’s surprise appearance at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames, Seth Rollins is a prime opponent for the returning hero. Punk and Rollins have long-running heat and they will undoubtedly clash at some point down the road, but, while Rollins is upset to see Punk others are happy to him back.
Speaking with Mail Sport’s Alex McCarthy, Jey Uso shared his thoughts on Punk’s return:
In my mind, CM Punk is just a star. People are going to talk about him, so hell yeah he comes back. That’s what WWE is, no matter what we’re going to please the fans and make money – why wouldn’t you bring him in? I like the guy, man.
He was here ten years ago and there was never any beef. If you’re in this profession, you have to have hard skin and be able to take critique well. You can’t get hot about any of this.
So CM Punk is invited to my house, it’s all love. Let’s line it up. I’ll do an angle with CM Punk – I’m ready. I’m glad he’s back. Last time he was here I had paint on my face, I’m a different Jey Uso these days.
Will CM Punk face WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns?
While the multi-time tag team champion, who was a member of the Bloodline, was okay with the controversial character’s return, he stated a match with Reigns, is a whole other level.
Hell yeah, the Tribal Chief is ready to put anybody and everybody down, man. CM Punk might find out just like the rest did. It’s different when you get in there with the Tribal Chief.
