Conflicting Reports On CM Punk Being Legally Barred From Discussing AEW

Recent reports have conflicted over the idea that CM Punk has signed non-disclosure agreements that legally prevent him from talking publicly about AEW.

Following his shocking return to WWE for the first time in almost a decade at Survivor Series: WarGames this past weekend, CM Punk broke his silence on the following episode of Monday Night Raw.

To the surprise of many, Punk did not reference AEW nor his time in the promotion at all during his lengthy promo in the show’s main event. This was a notable departure from his promos in Tony Khan’s promotion where he regularly took shots at his now-current home of WWE.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that the reason behind this is that CM Punk has signed several non-disclosure agreements that legally prevent him from discussing his time in AEW in public. There are reportedly others who’ve also signed NDAs, though Punk was the only individual named.

In the hours following, however, Haus of Wrestling reported that they could not confirm that Punk had signed any NDA in connection to his termination from AEW, let alone multiple. The outlet went on to reiterate a previous report that Punk has no interest in resurfacing the drama that followed him in AEW and instead wants to focus on his current run in WWE.

While many are happy to see CM Punk back in the company, some fans could be set to be disappointed.

CM Punk Could Be Set For Dream Match With Steve Austin

A few days ago, it was reported that CM Punk was in discussions with WWE about the possibility of a match against WWE Hall of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin – who returned to the ring for the first time in almost 20 years back at WrestleMania 38 to face Kevin Owens.

Earlier today, however, a new report revealed that Austin hasn’t been approached regarding the potential dream match-up and that the talks hadn’t been discussed to a serious degree as of yet – contrary to initial reports.
