“I Don’t Think He Was Worthy Of The Position He Was Given” – Ted DiBiase Slams Goldberg

Goldberg WWE

In a contentious statement, Ted DiBiase has critiqued Goldberg‘s time in WCW, claiming that the former multi-time World Champion was not “a great talent in any way.”

The claim was part of Ted DiBiase’s podcast “Everybody’s Got A Pod,” where he hosted a Question & Answer with fans. One fan took the chance to ask DiBiase’s opinion on Bill Goldberg, and “The Million Dollar Man” was not shy to point out the star’s flaws.

“As a person, I have nothing against Goldberg. I don’t know that he was ever worthy of the position he was given.”

“I would put it this way, it’s like, what was Goldberg already known for? Football. Here’s a guy who is very well known for his football talent, and we’re going to try to make a wrestling star out of that, based on the celebrity he has already got from being a football player.”

“I just don’t know that it works. I don’t have anything against the guy, more power to him, if you get a shot take it. I don’t see him as far as wrestling goes, a great talent in any way.”

Goldberg comes from a long line of American Football players who went on to become wrestlers. Names like The Rock and Roman Reigns have followed a similar path to the squared circle, showing that the transition is no rarity.

Recently Ted DiBiase revealed who he enjoyed managing the most in WWE.

More Criticism For Goldberg

Ted DiBiase isn’t the only wrestling personality to dunk on Bill Goldberg recently. Earlier this month, former WWE United States Champion Rene Dupree had something to say, claiming that “he never learned how to work.”

“He hit me with the flag and dislocated my collarbone. Each time he would [hit me], ‘Man, take it easy,’ but he just had one speed, ‘Go!’ He never learned how to work.”

And that’s not all – former WCW President Eric Bischoff also had some unkind words for Goldberg earlier this year. Poor Bill can’t catch a break.
