Ted DiBiase Reveals His Favourite WWE Superstar He Ever Managed

WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase revealed intriguing insights into his legendary managerial career.

In a recent interview on Everybody’s Got A Pod, Ted DiBiase, known as The Million Dollar Man, discussed his brief stint managing The Ringmaster Steve Austin and his foresight in recognising Austin’s potential for greatness.

After a severe neck injury forced DiBiase to retire from pro wrestling in late 1993, he made a triumphant return to WWE in 1994 as a manager. DiBiase formed the Million Dollar Corporation and recruited a formidable roster of superstars, including I.R.S., Bam Bam Bigelow, Nikolai Volkoff, Kama Mustafa, King Kong Bundy, Sycho Sid, 1-2-3 Kid, Tatanka, and eventually, Steve Austin.

During the podcast, DiBiase admitted that he knew Austin was destined for success. He stated:

I saw that coming… I could see what the guy had, and [that] he was going to shoot to the top.

DiBiase acknowledged Austin’s exceptional microphone skills, which made him self-sufficient and not in need of a mouthpiece like others in the Million Dollar Corporation.

Who Else Did Ted DiBiase Enjoy Managing?

Despite their limited time together, Ted DiBiase expressed his enjoyment in managing King Kong Bundy, describing him as a “good guy” and a “fun guy.” Bundy’s larger-than-life personality and imposing presence made him a perfect fit for DiBiase’s managerial style. Throughout his managerial career, DiBiase was involved in high-profile storylines, including the one that led to the WrestleMania XI main event between Bam Bam Bigelow and Lawrence Taylor. He was also instrumental in orchestrating the impostor Undertaker storyline.

DiBiase also spent time in WCW where he managed several members of the NWO. Ted DiBiase recently spoke about his time in WCW and criticised the talents of Bill Goldberg.
