Seth Rollins had to be restrained during the WWE return of CM Punk while he repeatedly swore at the former AEW star.
In the closing moments of WWE Survivor Series: WarGames, hell truly froze over: CM Punk returned to WWE almost a decade after his controversial departure following the 2014 Royal Rumble.
As Cody Rhodes‘ team was celebrating their victory in the show’s WarGames main event, Cult of Personality rang out across the Allstate Arena and Punk walked out onto the stage. The show went off the air with raucous ‘CM Punk’ chants as the man himself took in the reaction on the entranceway.
However, not everyone was pleased to see the former AEW World Champion. Whilst the fans in attendance audibly shared their elation at Punk’s appearance, a fan video making the rounds on X shows a visibly furious Seth Rollins repeatedly shouting “f**k you” while giving the returning star the middle finger.
The World Heavyweight Champion, who previously branded CM Punk “a cancer” in an interview earlier this year, even had to be restrained by the likes of Michael Cole, Corey Graves, and others.

Drew McIntyre “Stormed Out” Following WWE Survivor Series
Rollins isn’t the only top star who wasn’t happy at the end of the show. Shortly after the Premium Live Event went off the air, PWInsider reported that Drew McIntyre “stormed out” of the Allstate Arena following the conclusion of the main event.
Before Punk’s return, McIntyre is said to have stormed his way to the backstage area, slammed the door of his locker room, put on a hoodie, and immediately walked out of the Allstate Arena.
It’s currently unknown if his mood was a reaction to Punk’s return, the main event match itself, or another unknown factor but it was “obvious” to those who saw him that he was angry.
The next day at a WWE Live Event, Seth Rollins let his feelings be known about CM Punk returning.
