Seth Rollins Addresses CM Punk's Surprise WWE Return At Recent Live Event

Seth Rollins has broken his silence.

When all was said and done at Survivor Series 2023, the only thing that fans wanted to talk about was CM Punk’s shock return to WWE. The sound of “Cult of Personality” confirmed that the rumours were true, sending The Allstate Arena in Chicago into a frenzy.

Despite over 17,000 people being ecstatic about the news, fan footage captured one person who was not. After competing in the main event, Rollins was seen cursing Punk and being restrained at the ringside area. It should be noted that the World Heavyweight Champion was reportedly informed of the news ahead of time and this will all play a part in a storyline match between the two in the near future.

With the machine that is WWE continually moving, a non-televised event was held the next day in Peoria, Illinois, approximately 170 miles from the site of Survivor Series.

Competing in the main event of the show, The Visionary defeated Shinsuke Nakamura and Drew McIntyre in a triple threat match to retain the title. After the bell, Rollins grabbed the microphone to comment on what took place the night before. Stating that his feelings on the matter are already known Rollins instead ended the night on a positive by asking for his theme song to be sung by those in attendance:

“Did you guys watch WarGames last night? [crowd chants for ‘CM Punk’]. You already know how I feel about that, I said as much last night. I’m not going to waste any more breath on somebody who has been gone for eight years, has done nothing but try and tear this place down. Instead, I’m going to take my time and use my breath on talking about the people who have been here all along. That’s everybody in the back who has made WWE the hottest ticket in town. That’s every single one of you who are here tonight in Peoria.

I could end this on a sour note like that, but I don’t want to. You guys have some beautiful singing voices out there. So instead of me hoop and hollering, what do you say you guys take us home? You got one more song in you?”

Seth Rollins Victorious At Survivor Series

As previously mentioned, Rollins was in action at Survivor in the main event as part of the Men’s WarGames match. Teaming with Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn and a returning Randy Orton, the 5-man team would be victorious over The Judgment Day and Drew McIntyre.

During the same show, Drew McIntyre referenced the rumours that have been reported about what happened at WWE Survivor Series.
