Will Brock Lesnar And Ronda Rousey Return At UFC 300?

Could former UFC Champions Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey return at the upcoming landmark event?

With the 300th PPV fast approaching and UFC now owned by Endeavor, it is presumed that the new owners will be bringing out the big guns to celebrate the marquee show. Also, with Vince McMahon recently helping UFC to secure a major deal with Saudi Arabia, big stars are expected to appear at future events.

As Lesnar is on a part-time schedule and Rousey is now a free agent, an appearance or even a fight at UFC 300 is technically a possibility for either or both of the former World Champions. With rumours once again circulating, an update has been provided by UFC President Dana White.

While being interviewed by Sports Illustrated, White understands why the topic of Lesnar making a UFC return and Rousey is repeatedly brought up, but once again confirmed that they will not be at the event:

“I get why everybody asks. I love that everybody loves them like that, and with so much passion. I do, too. But they’re definitely not coming back for UFC 300,”

Discussing his relationship with The Beast, White admitted that Lesnar may appear grumpy but there were no issues between the two:

“I always had an incredible working relationship with Brock Lesnar. It’s funny to say this because he’s such a grouchy dude, but I consider Brock Lesnar a friend,”

White continued his admiration by praising Rousey, hailing the former champion as one of the all-time greats:

“I absolutely love Ronda Rousey. She’s one of the greatest athletes I’ve ever worked with. She’s a pioneer, an inspirational figure for women, and an all-around badass for UFC,”

It should also be noted that UFC 300 looks to be pencilled in for some time in April 2024, shortly after WrestleMania 40. With the amount of training required for the fight, it would be unlikely that Lesnar could commit to MMA training while building to the upcoming clash in Philadelphia. With Lesnar still a top star in the company all these years later, it is highly unlikely that WWE would allow the former World Champion to miss their biggest show.

What Is The Latest On Brock Lesnar & Ronda Rousey?

Both stars have not been seen since SummerSlam 2023, where Lesnar and Rousey each lost their matches to Cody Rhodes and Shayna Baszler respectively. The latest WWE return update regarding Brock Lesnar is that he is not expected to be on TV until the build to the Royal Rumble, setting up his Mania showdown.

Rousey has since departed the company and wrestled an impromptu match at an independent show in California. A second Ronda Rousey match has been announced ahead of time for independent promotion Wrestling REVOLVER, where Rousey will team with fellow MMA Horsewoman Marina Shafir.

In recent Brock Lesnar news, an ex-WWE Star revealed scrapped plans for a beatdown angle involving The Beast.
