Former WWE Champion Believes Ronda Rousey Was Sent To A “Lesser Company”

Former WWE Champion Believes Ronda Rousey Was Sent To A

Nia Jax has given her honest thoughts on Ronda Rousey’s post-WWE career.

Rousey looked to be done with wrestling in general after losing to Shayna Baszler at SummerSlam and announcing her retirement on social media. However, like most wrestling retirements, this one did not stick. Following an impromptu match at an independent show in California, the former WWE star was announced for the REVOLVER Unreal, teaming with longtime friend Marina Shafir to face Athena and Billie Starkz in a no-contest.

While this was a big surprise to wrestling fans, the bigger shock would come one day later when Ronda Rousey made a shock appearance at a Ring of Honor taping, leading some to speculate that The Rowdy One could be All Elite in the near future.

Jax, who is scheduled to face Baszler on the December 4th edition of Raw, was asked about her opponent while speaking with Q1057. When asked if previously teaming with Baszler gave any insight into The Submission Magician’s offence, Jax credited her future opponent with her fighting skills while also throwing a verbal jab in the direction of Rousey:

“She is a great expert at her Judo moves, she is a former UFC fighter. She did take out Ronda Rousey. Ronda Rousey just got sent to a whole other company lesser than us. Shayna does get credit for that. Being so close to her and knowing her every move, I definitely have some good counters. I’m a lot stronger than her. A lot more powerful. I think I’ll be okay,”

Jax and Rousey faced off at Money in the Bank 2018, with Rousey challenging Jax for the Raw Women’s Championship. The match ended in a disqualification when Alexa Bliss interfered and cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase, defeating Jax to become champion. Rousey got her revenge at SummerSlam by defeating Bliss to capture her first championship.

Is Ronda Rousey Signing With AEW?

With Rousey making the shock appearance in ROH, which is owned by Tony Khan, many suspected that Rousey signing with AEW would be an inevitability. Asked about Ronda Rousey at the Full Gear press conference, Tony Khan gave an update.

Ronda Rousey was recently asked if there will be any more AEW appearances following the surprise ROH debut.
