Chris Jericho Scores Huge Win In DDT Debut

Chris Jericho makes AEW entrance

Chris Jericho got a measure of revenge at DDT Ultimate Party 2023.

On September 24th, Chris Jericho made a shock appearance at DDT Who’s Gonna TOP? following Konosuke Takeshita’s victory over MAO.

The Ocho issued a challenge to Takeshita, proclaiming that he would have revenge on the Don Callis family member after suffering multiple attacks.

Takeshita accepted the challenge, and claimed he would “destroy everything about him.”

In the weeks since then, Jericho has continued his partnership with Kenny Omega to take the fight to Callis and his Family. This has included a loss to the Family at WrestleDream as well as a victory over Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher on a recent Dynamite.

Chris Jericho Forces Konosuke Takeshita To Tap Out

At Ultimate Party, Jericho finally got his hands on Takeshita in singles action. The bout saw the two men give it their all, with Jericho going so far as to dive off the turnbuckle onto Takeshita on the floor below.

While Takeshita was able to avoid a Judas Effect elbow earlier in the match, he eventually fell to the Walls of Jericho, shockingly tapping out to end his first singles encounter with Jericho.

While Chris Jericho has dealt a big blow to the Don Callis Family with a victory even Kenny Omega has been unable to manage, the rivalry shows no signs of slowing down.

On the November 15th edition of Dynamite, the next chapter will be written when Jericho, Omega, Paul Wight, and Kota Ibushi clash with Takeshita, Fletcher, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Brian Cage in the Sega-sponsored Like A Dragon Gaiden Street Fight. While discussing the match on his podcast, Chris Jericho addressed the possibility of a future reunion with Paul Wight.

Chris Jericho recently hinted at a new trademark in relation to his AEW future.
