Hailing from Transcona, Winnipeg, Canada, Tyson Smith better known as Kenny Omega is an accomplished professional wrestler who has won championships all over the world. Omega made his debut in 2000 and quickly became one of the industry’s most enigmatic performers. Starting his career in his native Canada he rose through the ranks before signing a developmental deal with WWE’s then-developmental territory, Deep South Wrestling in 2005.

The following year Omega left his deal and headed to Japan where he reinvented the persona and wrestling style that made him famous. First establishing himself in DDT Pro where he became a three-time KO-D Tag Team Champion alongside Kota Ibushi. He then won AJPW’s World Junior Heavyweight Championship before solidifying his reputation as one the best wrestlers in the world when in NJPW.

While appearing for PWG and ROH on a regular basis Omega took Japan’s number-one promotion by storm. He won every title in the company, became the leader of the Bullet Club and competed against Kazuchika Okada in a legendary feud. In 2019 along with the Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes and Adam Hangman Page, Omega announced the arrival of AEW.

Kenny Omega signed to the new promotion on a four-year deal as an on-air performer and Executive Vice President. Since joining the company the Best Bout Machine has captured multiple championships, been integral in the promotion’s growth and continued to excel as AEW’s longest-running champion in history.
