On AEW Collision, Christian Cage‘s faction was seemingly given a new name.
Over the past few months, Cage has become a dominant force in AEW with Luchasaurs by his side. In October, he added to his group when Nick Wayne turned on Darby Allin at WrestleDream to aid his new father figure in retaining the TNT Championship.
After the match, Sting attempted to help his fallen friend, only to be viciously attacked by the trio. Sting and Allin were saved when Adam Copeland made his AEW debut and saw off his friend and his allies.
Since then, Cage, Luchasaurus, and Wayne have continued their rivalry with Sting, Allin, and Copeland. Things are set to come to a head at Full Gear when the two teams clash in the ring in a huge six-man tag team bout.
Now, it looks like Cage has an official name for his faction as they go into the match. On the November 11th edition of Collision, commentary referred to the three as ‘The Patriarchy’ on more than one occasion, seemingly confirming that will be the group’s name going forward.
Christian Cage Saved Former WWE Star’s Life
During a recent video on his YouTube channel, former WWE star Maven recalled an incident that saw Christian Cage save his life. During a match between the pair, Maven broke his leg during a Baseball Slide.
The star tried to continue the match and attempted to dive onto Christian on the outside. However, he overshot for the move and almost landed on his head, but thankfully Cage was able to stop that from happening.
“He saved my life there. Thanks, Christian. I was going down on my head. If he doesn’t catch me there, that’s not a good day for me.”
