Edge Makes AEW Debut At WrestleDream

Edge making his entrance at Clash At The Castle

Adam Copeland, better known to wrestling fans around the world as Edge, has arrived in AEW.

The WWE Hall of Famer made a surprise appearance at the end of WrestleDream to come to the aid of Darby Allin and Sting who had been viciously beaten by Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, and their new partner Nick Wayne.

In the main event, Cage defeated Allin to retain the TNT Title but that told not even half of the story. The veteran lost the first fall of their Two out of Three Falls encounter, but fought back with a vengeance.

Cage claimed the second fall after launching Allin onto the ring steps from the apron, leading him to be placed on a stretcher. However, Cage wasn’t done, stripping back the ring canvas and hitting a huge Frog Splash from the top rope onto Allin and the stretcher below.

From there the match continued in the ring, with the two men fighting on the bare structure, with Allin refusing to quit.

The end of the stunningly violent clash came when Nick Wayne looked as if he was going to hit Cage with the title belt after the referee had been taken out, but instead attacked Allin.

After the bell, the beatdown continued, and even though Sting came to help, the pair were outnumbered. But not for long.

Edge Makes Shock AEW Debut

With Christian Cage preparing a con-chair-to, the lights went out and on the big screen, a mystery figure was shown getting into a car while Alter Bridge’s “Cry of Achilles” blasted in the background. When the screen went black again, Edge appeared with his classic theme and performed his signature entrance.

Once in the ring, Edge looked as if he would join Cage before hitting Wayne and Luchasaurus with the chair and then a Spear. Cage escaped to ringside and then up the ramp.

The show went off the air with Edge shaking hands with Allin and then Sting as the crowd roared their approval.

Edge became a free agent on October 1st after his WWE deal expired.

Tony Khan has announced that Adam Copeland will make his in-ring debut on the October 10th AEW Dynamite.

Adam Copeland’s debut was a shock as he appeared to be a WWE lifer. Another Superstar who has discussed the possibility of also leaving WWE is Becky Lynch.
