Tony Khan Witnessed CM Punk & Jack Perry AEW All In Incident

Tony Khan was reportedly one of several witnesses of the infamous altercation between CM Punk and Jack Perry.

According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, the AEW President saw the incident from the Gorilla position with his own two eyes and not only that, but had several TV monitors crash on him as Samoa Joe attempted to break up the fight. Alvarez shared the information he received.

“I was told that Joe was furious. He’s at Wembley, there’s 80,000 people there and he’s about to go out and apparently, he talked Punk into doing the match.”

The notorioius fight has expectedly received a lot of coverage due to timing and talent involved. It has appeared that both Punk and Perry have been suspended. While CM Punk hasn’t been informed directly of his suspension Nick Hausman has reported that his attorney has, removing him or Perry from the possibility of competing at AEW All Out this weekend.

In recent news, Dave Meltzer has said that he wouldn’t be shocked if CM Punk returned to AEW.

With all the reports and developments to parse through regarding the incident that will likely rival “brawl out” as far as the rumor mill is concerned, Wade Keller of Pro Wrestling Torch was informed by a veteran on the AEW roster that Tony Khan has “fostered an environment” that opens itself up for younger talent with not a lot of experience in mainstream wrestling to “go into business for themselves.” Perry appeared to do such during AEW All In Zero Hour as he faced Hook, taking an indirect dig at CM Punk regarding the usage of real glass.
