CM Punk Has Not Been Informed Of An AEW Suspension

CM Punk on AEW Collision

There have been reports that both CM Punk and Jack Perry have been suspended following their physical altercation at AEW All In, but at least one party hasn’t been officially notified.

According to a follow-up from earlier in the day, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select is reporting that CM Punk has not been informed of a suspension as of yet. Bryan Alvarez initially reported that the belief among AEW that both he and Perry would be suspended, and Sports Illustrated also gave confirmation that the two were suspended on Monday, but this follow-up report continues to cause ripples of speculation.

While AEW All in was a resounding success for the company, so much of the talk has been about Perry and Punk. A returning AEW in Santana implored fans on social media to celebrate the historic event rather than the word that two people fought backstage.

CM Punk’s Wild Weekend In London

CM Punk’s AEW All In experience didn’t start off on the greatest of notes as he reportedly didn’t have a ride to get him from the airport along with no guidance of how to get to Wembley Stadium. With the help from fans, Punk reportedly got to the venue with not a whole lot of wiggle room as he and Samoa Joe were to kick off the show.

After the reported “rumble in the jungle” with Jack Perry, AEW production feared that they’d have to rearrange the card, but Punk was able to gather himself to have his match with Joe.
