“He Is Really One Of A Kind”: AEW Star Heaps Praise On Tony Khan

Matt Hardy has spoken very highly of Tony Khan’s leadership of AEW.

On the latest episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Hardy spoke highly of AEW President Tony Khan and his active role in shaping the future of professional wrestling. Hardy commended Khan for his passion, resources, and unique ability to start a company like AEW. According to Hardy, Khan’s influence is actively changing the landscape of pro wrestling and revolutionising the industry.

I mean, I think he’s kind of actively changing it. There’s not going to be a lot of people with Tony’s passion and his love for pro wrestling, that are going to have the resources to start an All Elite Wrestling or an AEW, so he’s very gifted and blessed, you know to have the opportunity to be able to do that and be a billionaire. So yeah, it is actively changing. I guess you’ve got to be in the right place at the right time and you have to have the right resources to start a company. He is really like one of a kind and what he is doing right now is revolutionary.

While Hardy appreciates Khan’s innovative booking style and the positive impact it has on wrestlers and production staff, he does acknowledge some drawbacks. Hardy believes that Khan sometimes relies too heavily on fan feedback from social media when creating matches, which can have unintended consequences. In light of this, Hardy offers some advice to Khan, emphasising the importance of listening to the “arena” and the “paying customers”.

Regarding his own involvement in AEW, Hardy notes an increase in his match appearances, particularly on the show Rampage. His most recent match took place on the October 13th episode of Rampage, where he teamed up with Isiah Kassidy and Jeff Hardy but ended up losing to Angelo Parker, Daniel Garcia, and Matt Menard.

What Has Tony Khan Been Saying On Social Media?

Tony Khan has recently gone on a social media rampage and AEW staff feel that Khan should take a break from social media platforms to avoid any further embarrassment. Khan took shots at Triple H, Shawn Michaels, John Cena, The Undertaker and even Vince McMahon on his X account.
