Tony Khan didn’t hold anything back this week on social media, but the reported thought in AEW is that he should put his phone down.

The AEW President took plenty of shots at WWE before NXT went head-to-head with AEW Dynamite this past Tuesday and didn’t stop even after NXT beat them in the ratings. Tony Khan unleashed on the likes of Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon before Tuesday night and attempted to take some parting shots at Undertaker and John Cena afterwards, stating that they didn’t get over a million viewers, a first for both stars.

Bryan Alvarez from the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Tony Khan’s “scorched earth” style isn’t considered the best course of action by a lot working at AEW. The overall thought within the company is that Khan should put his phone down and take a leave from social media.

Jim Cornette Reacts To Tony Khan’s Posts

Following the Tuesday night battle, Bryan Alvarez’s partner-in-crime Dave Meltzer also expressed concern for Tony Khan unleashing on X, stating that it reminded him of WCW when they started losing to WWE.

It’s also not too often you see Meltzer and adversary Jim Cornette on the same page, but this instance may be one of them as Cornette commented on the report from Alvarez.

“The call is coming from inside the house……”

WWE Hall Of Famer Bully Ray also took to X to tell Tony Khan that he put on an entertaining show Tuesday night, but he should “live to fight another day.”

Fightful Select is also reporting that AEW public relations does not clear Khan’s posts before they go out, and Haus of Wrestling said a source at WWE described him as “petulant.” Additionally, someone out of CM Punk’s camp states that actions like this make CM Punk happy he’s away from the company.

In recent news, a top AEW star has praised Tony Khan’s leadership.

With many giving their thoughts on the matter, Chris Jericho was recently asked about his point of view regarding the Tony Khan online activity.
