AEW “Very, Very High” On Christian Cage

Christian Cage & Luchasaurus

Christian Cage is very popular backstage in AEW.

Since turning his back on Jack Perry, Cage has formed a formidable partnership with Luchasaurus. This has mainly revolved around AEW’s resident dinosaur demolishing everything and everyone in sight, while Cage watches on like a supervillain in a turtle neck mocking wrestlers with dead fathers.

Despite Luchasaurus holding the TNT Title, Cage has been billing himself as the champion, because that’s exactly what an evil genius would do. However, Cage will now compete in a Three-Way Match for the gold on Collision featuring Luchasaurus and Darby Allin.

Looking ahead to the match on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Cage grab the win because many backstage are “very high” on the star.

“I know that there are people very, very high on Christian right now, so that wouldn’t surprise me at all (Christian pinning Luchasaurus in the TNT Championship three-way match set for Collision that also features Darby Allin).”

When Did Christian Cage Join AEW?

Christian Cage made a surprise return to action in the 2021 Royal Rumble seven years after ending his full-time career. Although many expected the star to then re-sign with WWE, he instead headed to AEW making his debut at Revolution that March.

Cage went on to clash with Kenny Omega, defeating the star for the IMPACT World Championship, but coming up short in his bid to win the AEW World Title.

More recently, Christian Cage claimed he signed a “big fat contract” extension with the company. With many in the company lining up to give their opinion on the TNT Champion, Jim Ross has reacted to Cage’s recent work.
