“Everytime You See Him You Want To Slap Him”: Jim Ross Reacts To AEW Antagonist

Jim Ross believes that Christian Cage is on another level.

The TNT Champion has earned a reputation as one of the most controversial figures on the roster following his recent behaviour. While some competitors resort to taunting with clever remarks or exploiting their adversaries’ shortcomings, Cage has taken a more contentious approach, delving into the unsettling territory of bringing up past family traumas and often following up with flirtatious behaviour directed at their mother.

With fans first stunned by his comments in the rivalry with Jack Perry, many were in disbelief that multiple wrestlers were also subject to the same treatment. Despite the abhorrent language, Cage has found his way to the outside world of wrestling, with his expletive response to Adam Copeland being the punchline of multiple memes and social media clips.

Veteran announcer Jim Ross has known Christian Cage since the early days of his career but has never seen this iteration of the veteran before.

Speaking on Grilling JR, Ross believes that Cage has heat that many heels can only dream of and that he currently is the top heel in the business:

“He’s a hell of a heel right now. There nobody in pro wrestling that has garnered the angst and developed the antagonist image. Every time you see him, you want to slap him.

Jim Ross Predicts Future AEW ShowDown

With the arrival of Adam Copeland in All Elite Wrestling, an eventual showdown between the former tag team partners looks to be an inevitability. Not wanting to rush the highly-anticipated match, Ross believes that good things will come to those who wait:

He’s a phenomenal heel, and that’s just gonna make it that much easier for he and Adam Copeland to have a historically classic match when the time is right,”

Christian Cage has also impressed the company with his work, with AEW being very high on him following the alignment with Luchasaurus.

Continuing to assess the career of Christian Cage, the WWE Hall of Famer discussed why he was never given a big solo opportunity.

H/t to Fightful.
