CM Punk’s Opponent At AEW All In Revealed

CM Punk on AEW Collision

CM Punk looks set for a major championship match when AEW All In comes to the United Kingdom later this August and his opponent is an old foe.

During the August 5th edition of AEW Collision Samoa Joe would make history by defeating Serpentico in under ten seconds to set the record for fastest victory in the shows short history.

Following the match, ‘The Samoan Submission Machine’ would take to the microphone and send a message to ‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk.

Joe would address his loss to the “Real AEW Champion” in the 2023 Owen Hart Tournament, noting that “a roll-up is not good enough” for their history and legacy.

The ROH World TV Champion would go on to challenge CM Punk to a rematch on the biggest stage in AEW (and possibly wrestling) history, AEW All In at Wembley Stadium on August 27th.

CM Punk eventually accepted Joe’s challenge on the August 19th edition of Collision after getting some revenge on the star by taking him out with a GTS.

How Old Is CM Punk?

CM Punk and Samoa Joe have a storied history with it’s roots in Ring of Honor.

Punk (now 44 years old) would first take on Samoa Joe back in 2003 when they were just 24-years-old at Ring of Honor’s Bitter Friends, Stiffer Enemies PPV.

Since then the duo would clash on 16 occasions, 7 of which being singles matches with Joe boasting 4-2-1 record over the AEW Champion.

Elsewhere on the show FTR challenged long-time rivals The Young Bucks to a “rubber match” at AEW All In.
