Adam Page Dismissed From AEW Collision, Refused Entry By Management

In the aftermath of CM Punk‘s scathing rant against Hangman Adam Page on AEW Collision, reports have emerged shedding light on Page’s absence from the show.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Page was initially scheduled to film at the Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina, where Collision took place on August 12th. However, upon his arrival, Page was informed that the filming location had been changed, and he was advised not to attend the event altogether.

Page was actually sent to Greensboro last night to do a pre-tape interview backstage for Wednesday’s Dynamite show and when he got there was told that they would have to do it away from the Coliseum and not to go to the show.

According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio podcast, this isn’t the first time that someone has been refused entry to the Collison venue.

Matt Hardy was booked on a Saturday, went there and then was told not to go to the building after he got there. Christopher Daniels, who had been working with Matt Sydal’s tag team in Ring Of Honor, for whatever reason same thing happened with him, he’s not supposed to go on Saturday and he’s freaking head of talent relations. There may be others but those are the ones I know of.

Since the inception of Collision, none of The Elite members have competed in any matches, which has raised eyebrows among fans. In contrast, CM Punk has been a regular presence on the show since his return on June 17th, following a backstage altercation with The Elite last year.

After Collision went off the air on August 12th CM Punk went on a verbal tirade against Adam Page. According to the Observer, Punk’s comments about Page were not part of a planned storyline or a work between the two. Punk’s scathing remarks, including his claim that nobody wants to buy Page merchandise, were a genuine expression of his feelings. Meltzer wrote:

Regarding questions about the C.M. Punk off-screen promo on Adam Page, this was not storyline or anything like that.

Before his verbal assault on Page, Punk had competed in the main event of Collision, teaming up with the AEW Tag Team Champions FTR. Unfortunately, they were defeated by The House of Black, consisting of Malakai Black, Buddy Matthews, and Brody King, who hold the AEW Trios Championship.

In recent news CM Punk has said that his recent off-air promo on Adam Page was an attempt at comedy.

Recently it was reported that CM Punk was not to blame for Matt Hardy being told not to attend an AEW Collision taping.

What’s Next For Adam Page In AEW?

Adam Page was recently involved in a feud featuring The Elite, which consists of Page, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks and Blackpool Combat Club, which consists of Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli. The feud culminated in a Blood and Guts match on the July 19th episode of Dynamite.

Recently Page along with his fellow Elite members signed a new multi-year deal with AEW.
