CM Punk Not Responsible For Matt Hardy's Exclusion From AEW Collision

It has been reported that CM Punk may not have been the reason Matt Hardy was sent away from an AEW Collision taping.

In the recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that CM Punk was not the reason that Matt Hardy was barred from an AEW Collision taping despite Hardy allegedly being told that Punk was to blame.

Essentially, in recent weeks, Matt Hardy was booked for a Collision taping but was later told not to go into the building. He was told it was related to CM Punk and while the story was not talked about heavily, it was mentioned as one of those things that happened. Those close to Punk have denied Punk being the reason for this.

Although this report would suggest that Punk may not be to blame, he has been accused of being the reason for Hardy and other performers being refused entry to Collision venues.

Most recently it was revealed that Adam Page was refused entry to the Collision venue the Greensboro Coliseum by AEW management, it has been suggested that Punk was involved in this decision.

What Controversy Has CM Punk Been Involved In At AEW?

CM Punk has had his fair share of controversy since he started with AEW, one of his most notable controversies came when he was involved in a brawl backstage between himself, his friend Ace Steel and The Elite, consisting of Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. This resulted in Punk, Omega and the Bucks being suspended from the company while Steel was released.

Now no longer a part of AEW following multiple reports about his alleged behaviour, one WWE Official has called into question the validity of the CM Punk updates.
