WWE Champion Explains Why They Removed Undertaker Tribute Tattoo

WWE Superstar Damian Priest opened up about his decision to cover up a tattoo tribute to the legendary Undertaker.

Damian Priest, also known as the Punishment of the Judgment Day faction, had gotten the tattoo while wrestling on the independent circuit before joining WWE. However, he chose to cover it up to establish his own identity as a wrestler.

In a recent interview, Priest expressed that he has no regrets about the decision and considers it for the best. He acknowledged that he looked up to wrestling legends like the Undertaker before making his mark in the wrestling business. Speaking on WWE Tattooed, Priest revealed:

I actually did get his symbol tattooed on this skull, and then I started wrestling. Then I was like ‘probably shouldn’t have done that’.

Priest shared an anecdote about a promoter advising him to cover up the tattoo, which led him to tattoo a bat over it. Despite his admiration for the Undertaker, Priest is focused on forging his own path in the wrestling industry.

Currently, Priest is preparing for the upcoming WarGames match, where he will team up with Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, Dominik Mysterio, and Drew McIntyre to take on Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and Randy Orton at Survivor Series.

Which WWE Match Is Damian Priest Most Proud Of?

Damian Priest previously stated that his match with Bad Bunny at WWE Backlash was his proudest moment. He stated that due to the show being held in Puerto Rico he was happy to put on a show for his fellow Puerto Rican people.
