The Rock’s choice of Halloween costume is one that British fans will be especially familiar with.
Donning a Manchester United jersey, long hair and sunglasses, the WWE legend has chosen football icon David Beckham as his inspiration for the celebrations.
Posting the photo of his creation on Instagram, Rock described himself as “265lb BLA-MOAN BECKHAM. #7 on the field, #1 in your heart.”
Feeling honoured that the Hollywood star chose him as Halloween inspiration, Beckham responded with the following comment on the post:
I mean I thought I was looking in the mirror 😂 looking good man you might need a bigger jersey 😂@therock ❤️
One of the most famous football players in history, David Beckham signed with the Manchester United youth side in 1991 and would remain with the club until 2003, scoring 61 goals while with the club.
Will The Rock Return To WWE?
Although it would be entertaining to see The Great One make an appearance at Old Trafford, wrestling fans would rather see the former World Champion lay the SmackDown in Philadelphia as part of WrestleMania 40. With rumours of a long-awaited match against Roman Reigns gaining traction once again following the September 15th appearance, the latest report sadly states that there are no plans for The Rock to make an appearance at WrestleMania 40.
Another major name who was at the September 15th SmackDown was John Cena, who has made multiple appearances in the autumn on the blue brand and at PLEs. Reuniting with The Great One in a backstage segment, John Cena revealed that he did apologise to The Rock at the show.
