In the closing moments of AEW Dynamite, MJF was officially ejected from The Inner Circle before debuting a brand-new faction to get revenge on his former allies!

After failing to capture the AEW World Tag Team Championship from The Young Bucks at Revolution, The Inner Circle hosted a war council meeting which would main event the March 10th edition of Dynamite. Sammy Guevara would make his return and show Chris Jericho footage of MJF conspiring to overthrow him as leader of alongside the rest of the group’s members.

The rest of The Inner Circle would remain loyal to Jericho, however, and as they were about to deliver an ‘Inner Circle beatdown’, MJF claimed he didn’t want to take over The Inner Circle because he’s been too busy creating a group of his own. The lights went out and when the came back up FTR, Shawn Spears & Tully Blanchard all appeared in the ring and decimated MJF’s former partners.

The show closed with MJF striking Jericho in the head with his own baseball bat before ‘The Painmaker’ was dragged to the entranceway where Wardlow delivered a powerbomb to him off the stage and through a table.

The faction is, as of yet, unnamed and it’s likely we’ll get more details on St. Patrick’s Day Slam next week. Also set for that Dynamite special is Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston vs The Good Brothers, Cody Rhodes vs Penta El Zero Miedo and Thunder Rosa vs. Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. in an Unsanctioned Lights Out match – the first-ever women’s match to main event an AEW show and only the second Unsanctioned Lights Out match in the company’s history!
