Britt Baker Vs Thunder Rosa Named St. Patrick’s Day Slam Main Event

Britt Baker & Thunder Rosa

AEW have announced that Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D and Thunder Rosa will main event AEW Dynamite St. Patrick’s Day Slam on March 17th.

The feud between Baker and Thunder Rosa has been escalating for months and will finally be settled in a Unsanctioned Lights Out Match, the first to take place on AEW Dynamite.

Prior to the announcement, Dr. Britt Baker DMD, Nyla Rose & Maki Itoh faced off against Hikaru Shida, Thunder Rosa & Ryo Mizunami in a six woman tag team match which soon descended into chaos. Where a brawl broke out before Maki could even complete her entrance.

Rosa would eventually pick up the win, hitting the Fire and Thunder Driver on Itoh for the three count. However, just because the match was over, it didn’t mean that the fight was over. Baker attacked Rose with Reba’s crutch before locking in the Lockjaw while Reba piled on the misery grinding her crutch into Rosa’s face.

The announcement of the all-women’s main event comes after AEW President Tony Khan revealed that a women’s main event was “coming soon” during the post Revolution media scrum.

The ST. Patrick’s Day edition of Dynamite will also feature Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston taking on the IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Champions, The Good Brothers. Cody Rhodes going up against Penta El Zero Miedo. Jurassic Express and Bear Country tangling with Matt Hardy, Private Party and the Butcher and The Blade. While Jade Cargill will also be in action.
