FTR’s Cash Wheeler Heaps Praise On Christian

Christian ECW Champion

Cash Wheeler, one half of the tag-team FTR in All Elite Wrestling has heaped praise on WWE Superstar Christian, following his return at the Royal Rumble.

During the men’s Rumble match, Christian made his return to a WWE ring, competing officially for the first time since 2014. Reports at the time suggested that ‘Captain Charisma’ had to step away from the ring due to concussion issues. Returning as the 24th entry in the men’s Rumble, Christian lasted over eighteen minutes before being eliminated in the home stretch by Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman. He would share an emotional embrace in the match with long-time tag-team partner Edge, who himself returned from injury-related retirement at 2020’s Royal Rumble before winning this year’s event.

Cash Wheeler took to social media to share his thoughts on the former 2-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Replying to a fan who asked what was so good about Christian, Wheeler replied:

“His personality. His footwork. His psychology. His ring positioning. His mind for the business. His ability to elevate his opponents unselfishly & make them look better than they are. His passion. His willingness to help younger talent. His seamless mic work. But that’s it really”

The former AEW Tag Team Champion then added:

“Nothing really. Can believably be world champion in the main event or working with the newest guy on the roster in the opening match. Can do serious, comedy, angry, goofy in the same segment. Excels in any match. Regular. Tag. Ladders etc. All at the highest level.”

Christian could be set for more appearances with WWE, reports suggest he may be in line for a part-time return with the company.

Cash Wheeler has found he and his tag-team partner suspended for one week by AEW, in storyline, for their attack on Luchasaurus on Dynamite.
