Will Becky Lynch finally get her payback against Trish Stratus?
It looks like WWE will get a good dose of Lynch and “Stratusfaction” after the two fought to a double count-out on the August 14 WWE Raw. When a victor still wasn’t determined, Adam Pearce made it known that Lynch and Stratus would settle the score in a cage match. This battle got confirmed with a graphic on this Monday’s Raw, confirming the two will face each other at Payback in Pittsburgh, PA. Both women confronted one another on the latest episode of Raw.
Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus Is A Long Time Coming
The original iteration of Lynch vs. Stratus was supposed to go down at SummerSlam in Detroit, but it ultimately got removed due to time. The removal of the fight had Lynch back home “making lemonade” out of lemons as The Man firmly believed that she and Stratus should have remained on the PLE. However, their battle got bumped to the August 14 Raw and now the likely final fight comes to the steel cage match in the Steel City.
The feud between Stratus and Lynch began back when Lynch and Lita lost the WWE Women Tag Team Titles and Stratus showed her dissatisfaction for the loss by attacking Becky. The freshly heel Stratus soon found an ally in Zoey Stark, who has become the WWE Hall Of Famer’s enforcer. Stark was originally banned from ringside on the August 14 Raw, but once the two fought up in the concourse all bets were off and Stark seized her opportunity to attack.
