Trish Stratus Will Face Becky Lynch In A Steel Cage

On the August 14th episode of WWE Raw, it was announced that Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch will have another rematch, but this one will take place inside a Steel Cage.

Lynch’s long-awaited rematch with Stratus finally took place on the August 14th episode of Raw, but fans were left without a winner. The battle between Lynch and Stratus ended in a double count-out as the fierce competitors brawled into the crowd and continued their fight in the concourse area.

It was there that Zoey Stark intervened, attacking Lynch and assisting Stratus in leaving her opponent beaten. WWE official Adam Pearce later approached Stratus and Stark backstage, informing them that Lynch would have another chance to settle the score. This time, it would be a Steel Cage match, ensuring there would be no count-outs.

The decision to book the two in a Steel Cage match may have something to do with Trish Stratus’ desire to have a Cage match, as she has previously expressed her interest in the match type in an interview she had back in July with TVA Sports. The specific date for the highly anticipated rematch has yet to be announced at the time of writing.

Recently it was revealed that WWE has filed trademarks for old ECW PPVs and ring names such as Trish Stratus.

When Did Trish Stratus Start Feuding With Becky Lynch?

The intense rivalry between the two began in April when Stratus attacked Lynch following their loss of the Women’s Tag Team Championship to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

Their first singles encounter occurred at the Night Of Champions event back in May, where Stratus emerged victorious with the help of her new partner, Zoey Stark. The two then locked horns again on the July 31st edition of Raw.

However, this ended abruptly via disqualification when Stary again attacked Lynch just moments after the opening bell, Stratus and Stark then continued to attack Lynch, leaving her lying at ringside.

Recently it was revealed that the August 14th Raw saw the lowest viewership numbers since mid June.

In recent news, Trish Stratus has commented on her future in wrestling.
