MJF And Adam Cole Win ROH World Tag Team Titles

Adam Cole and MJF

MJF and Adam Cole are the new Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions.

On the Zero-Hour pre-show for All In, the pair took on Aussie Open in front of an already-packed Wembley Stadium. Before the bell rang, the champions — Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis — attacked Cole and MJF preventing them from doing their double pose.

This set the tone for the early going with Fletcher and Davis in control of MJF, but the World Champion eventually made the hot tag to Cole.

From there the match descended into a real back-and-forth affair before MJF hit a Kangaroo Kick and teamed with Cole to hit the Double Clothesline on Fletcher to score the win to a monster ovation.

It was announced on the August 30th episode of Dynamite that AEW will be holding a Grand Slam World Title Eliminator tournament.

In recent news, MJF recreated a Bret Hart promo on AEW Dynamite Grand Slam.

MJF And Adam Cole To Return In The Main Event

Despite teaming together to grab an impressive win, MJF and Adam Cole will be going one-on-one in All In’s main event with the AEW World Championship on the line.

MJF has held the gold since defeating Jon Moxley at Full Gear back in November, although he’s only defended it on five occasions. Perhaps the most memorable of these defences came at Revolution where the champion overcame Bryan Danielson in an Iron Man Match.

Meanwhile, Adam Cole has been one of the feel-good stories of AEW in 2023, returning from a serious head injury after fears his career could be over.

In recent news, Tony Khan revealed that he would have paid Adam Cole’s contract in full if he had to retire while with AEW.

Recently MJF and Tony Khan discussed the possibility of AEW holding an event in Mexico.
