Tony Khan Would Have Paid Adam Cole “Every F*cking Dime” If Forced To Retire In AEW

Tony Khan Would Have Paid Adam Cole

Tony Khan, the owner of AEW, has made a remarkable statement regarding his support for Adam Cole. Khan stated that he would have paid Cole his entire contract, even if he could never wrestle again.

This declaration comes after Cole faced two concussions in the summer of 2022, raising concerns about his future in the wrestling industry. Adam Cole signed with AEW at the All Out event in 2021.

Despite his injuries, Cole made a triumphant return to the ring in March 2023, solidifying his position as one of AEW’s top stars. He even had the opportunity to challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship at AEW All In, although he was unsuccessful in his bid.

During the post-show media scrum for All In, MJF praised Cole for his resilience in overcoming such a challenging injury. Khan expressed his belief that Cole’s motivation was not driven by money or greed but by his love for the sport. He made it clear that even if Cole was unable to return to in-ring action, he would have received his full contract payment.

You came back purely for the love of the game. I think it’s fair to say this wasn’t money motivated or greed motivated. If you don’t mind me saying, I would have paid you every fucking dime, even if you never stepped in the ring again. That’s what I told you.

Has Adam Cole Won Any Titles With AEW?

Despite challenging for multiple championships Adam Cole has not yet captured AEW gold, he was the 2022 Men’s Owen Hart Cup winner and also won the 2023 Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament with MJF, the team then challenged for the AEW World Tag Team Championship on the July 29th episode of Collision in a losing effort.

In addition to his achievements in AEW, Adam Cole and MJF also secured the ROH World Tag Team Championship at All In.
