AEW World Champion MJF and Tony Khan have expressed their thoughts on the possibility of AEW holding a show in Mexico.

Following AEW’s successful debuts in Canada in 2022 and the United Kingdom with AEW All In at Wembley Stadium on August 27th, the idea of bringing AEW to Mexico has gained traction.

During a post-show media scrum after All In, MJF enthusiastically shared his desire to perform at Aztec Stadium in Mexico. He expressed his admiration for the Mexican people, their vibrant culture, and delicious cuisine. his affinity for the Mexican fanbase was evident as he spoke about the love he receives from them.

I want to go to Aztec Stadium so f*cking bad. It’s not up to me, but you can fit a whole lot of people in Aztec Stadium. I love the Mexican people, I love the Mexican culture, and boy do I love Mexican food. I’m going to let him take that question now and I pray to God that I just peer pressured the f*ck out of him into saying maybe or yes.

Tony Khan echoed MJF’s sentiments, stating that AEW is interested in holding a show in Mexico under the right circumstances.

I think he nailed it. That’s a great venue and there are so many great venues. That is a great idea and it’s something to consider. That’s absolutely something we would like to do under the right circumstances. We have some great partners in Lucha Libre and I think that’s an exciting idea.

While no official announcement has been made regarding a specific date or venue for an AEW event in Mexico, the comments from both MJF and Tony Khan indicate AEW’s commitment to expanding its reach and connecting with wrestling fans worldwide.
