Cash Wheeler’s Arrest A Result Of “Road Rage”, Bond Set At $2500

The cause of Cash Wheeler’s arrest has been revealed.

Following on from the initial report that Wheeler had been arrested for aggravated assault with a firearm, PWInsider Elite have followed up by stating that the incident in question was road rage. Wheeler allegedly “flashed a gun” at the other party, who the AEW talent did not know. It is also stated that multiple people were in the other vehicle at the time of the incident occurring.

Wheeler would turn himself in and was arrested and charged with the aforementioned felony and a bond was set at $2,500. The wrestler has been ordered to surrender any weapons that he may own within the next 12 hours to the Orange County Sherriff’s Office pending any further investigation. Wheeler has also been ordered to not have any contact with the victims or any witnesses that may have been present at the scene.

Cash Wheeler’s Arrest – The Timeline Of Events

A warrant for the arrest of Daniel [Cash] Wheeler was issued on July 28th. Following this, Wheeler would plead not guilty via his attorney on August 3rd before turning himself in on August 18th, which was when the news of the arrest was broken to the general public.

All Elite Wrestling has stated that they are aware of the charge and are monitoring the situation, adding that Wheeler is fully cooperating with the local authorities.

With Wheeler scheduled to travel to London to defend the Tag Team Championships at All In, major doubt has been cast over whether or not the match will take place. At the time of writing, AEW is yet to address the status of this match.

Wheeler has since appeared in court to officially hear the charges issued against him.
