Further Details On Cash Wheeler’s Arrest

More information has been provided regarding the arrest of Cash Wheeler.

Wheeler was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm in Orlando, Florida on August 18th.

As reported by PWInsider, more is now known regarding the series of events that took place. According to arrest records, a warrant was issued for Wheeler’s arrest on July 28th. Daniel [Cash] Wheeler submitted a written not-guilty plea on August 3rd, with the arrest taking place 15 days later. A hearing will take place at 1 pm local time on August 18th. As indicated by the timeline of events, the incident took place a number of weeks ago and was not something that happened in the previous 24 hours.

The crime is treated as a third-degree felony in the state of Florida. The punishment for the crime can be a $5,000 fine and/or up to 5 years imprisonment.

AEW Comments On Cash Wheeler Arrest

Following the news of the arrest being made public, All Elite Wrestling has provided a statement regarding the matter:

AEW has been made aware of the charge, and we are closely monitoring the situation. (Wheeler) is fully cooperating with local authorities.”

The promotion has yet to comment on the status of the All In match in the United Kingdom, which is scheduled to see FTR defend the tag titles against The Young Bucks.

It should be noted that Wheeler has been charged with the crime but not convicted, as the verdict will take place later on today.
