Saraya Sends Message To Mercedes Mone Following AEW All In

AEW Women’s World Champion Saraya has expressed her eagerness to face Mercedes Mone, formerly known as Sasha Banks.

Since Mone’s departure from WWE and her subsequent appearance in NJPW/STARDOM, fans have been speculating about her potential collaboration with AEW. Talks between AEW and Mone were reportedly held prior to AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2, but unfortunately, an ankle injury sustained at NJPW Resurgence prevented her from participating in the show.

During the AEW All In event on August 27th, Mone was spotted in the crowd, sparking further speculation about her future in AEW. In a post-show media scrum, Tony Khan and Saraya were questioned about Mone’s presence.

Khan revealed that Mone is currently not cleared to wrestle, but he expressed his excitement about having her at the event. He emphasised that there are many potential opportunities for Mone in the future, but clarified that she wouldn’t be involved in any immediate action.

She’s not cleared, Mercedes Mone. It was great to have her here. She last competed for New Japan Pro-Wrestling, so I thought it would be excellent to have one of the top international stars in all of pro wrestling here. I thought it would be great to have her here to see all the matches, but she’s not cleared. Definitely, a lot of potential things could happen there, and I know New Japan Pro Wrestling has had great experiences working with her.

Saraya recently teased a match with IMPACT Wrestling’s Trinity in a recent interview.

What Did Saraya Say About Facing Mercedes Mone?

Saraya, the reigning AEW Women’s World Champion, who captured the title at All In, also shared her thoughts on the matter. She acknowledged her history with Mone and expressed her desire to win the title in front of her.

Saraya teased a potential match with Mone, confidently stating, “Bring her on.” She eagerly awaits Mone’s possible arrival in AEW and conveyed her anticipation by saying,

Mercedes, if you’re watching this, we can’t wait for you to finally join us.

As of now, there is no update on when Mone will make her return to the ring. However, her appearance at All In and the positive responses from Khan and Saraya indicate that there may be exciting opportunities awaiting her in AEW when she has fully recovered from her injury.

Also at the media event, the Women’s Champion declared that she would love to work some dates for RevPro.
