AEW Women’s World Champion Saraya hinted at a potential match against IMPACT Knockouts World Champion Trinity.
When asked about the possibility of working for independent promotions in the future in a recent interview with Women’s Wrestling Talk, she mentioned Trinity‘s name, sparking speculation about a potential title vs. title bout between the two champions.
Trinity, having caught wind of Saraya’s comments, took to X to issue a warning to the AEW champion. She cautioned Saraya to be careful about what she asked for, as “the glow hits different this era”. In response, Saraya expressed her belief in Trinity’s abilities and suggested that she stop by AEW so they could catch up.
Saraya and Trinity, who were previously known as Paige and Naomi during their time in WWE, have a history of clashes in the past. This adds an extra layer of intrigue to the potential matchup between the two.
Adding to the excitement, Mercedes Mone, the former IWGP Women’s Champion, was spotted in the crowd at AEW All In. Saraya expressed her interest in facing Mone, further fuelling speculation about potential dream matches in the women’s division.

Saraya’s first title defence as AEW Women’s World Champion is set to take place at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam. The contender for her championship will be determined on the September 13th episode of AEW Dynamite.
