Edge WWE Internal Roster Update, Mercedes Mone Chimes In On Social Media

Edge Adam Copeland

Could Edge be AEW bound? At the very least Mercedes Mone has a song in her heart due to that prospect.

Fans last saw Edge compete in a memorable match on WWE SmackDown where he took on Sheamus. That bout, which took place in his hometown of Toronto, served as a farewell match to the Rated-R Superstar whose contract is set to officially expire at the end of September.

According to a new report from PWInsider, Edge has been removed from WWE’s internal roster and states that some circles believe that he is headed to AEW

Update: PWInsider later followed up on their initial report that Edge’s name was back on the internal roster list but not as an active performer. He’s listed under the miscellaneous category along with names like Steve Austin, Undertaker, and Big E.

Mercede Mone Is Clearly Optimistic At Edge’s Future

Speculation began to swirl as to what Edge’s next move may be following his final match and after the surge on social media, the star himself addressed the unknown of his future in pro wrestling. Edge claimed that he has a new contract offer from WWE sitting on his table if he wishes to sign it, but made clear he had some thinking to do.

Mercedes Mone isn’t signed by AEW as of this moment, but the former Sasha Banks clearly has strong ties to the company. She was shown sitting in the Wembley crowd during All In and Tony Khan expressed an extreme interest in working with her once healthy.

On Wednesday afternoon Mone took to social media to share some famous lyrics of Edge’s theme song.

“On this day, I see clearly.
Everything has come to life.”
