Mick Foley Looks Back On Iconic WWE Match:

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley expressed his delight at Randy Orton‘s return to WWE at Survivor Series and acknowledged the challenges Orton must have faced while being on the sidelines.

Mick Foley appeared as a guest on WWE’s The Bump and commented on Orton’s improved appearance upon his return. He praised Orton’s dedication to WWE and stated that being away for a year and a half could not have been easy for someone who loves the industry as much as Orton does.

Reflecting on their past feud in 2004, Foley mentioned that their match at Backlash, where his Cactus Jack persona faced Orton, was still Orton’s personal favourite.

I was so flattered to hear that that match we had in 2004 was still his personal favourite. He’s got a treasure trove of match classics, but there was something special about that night.

Foley spoke highly of Orton’s talent and his potential for greatness at the time, emphasising that their feud played a significant role in launching Orton’s career.

He was a young talent on the precipice of greatness. I learned along the way that there’s no one big break, it’s a series of minor breaks. But, certainly, that feud got him off, started him up a path,

Foley also expressed his satisfaction with working closely with Orton during those 12 weeks and considered it a highlight of his career. The match between Orton and Foley was known for its brutality, with memorable moments such as Orton landing on thumbtacks. Orton’s return match at Survivor Series was less extreme, but he played a pivotal role in helping his team secure a victory in the WarGames match against The Judgment Day and Drew McIntyre.

Mick Foley recently got back in the ring at an indie event, making a surprise appearance to aid one of the promotion’s stars.
