Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn Dethrone The Usos At WWE WrestleMania 39

Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn

Thanks to Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, operation “take down The Bloodline” has gotten off to a flying start at WrestleMania 39.

In recent weeks Zayn and Owens have found an ally in Cody Rhodes as he bids to take out figurehead and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns. This led Rhodes to claim that the powerful faction could soon fall despite The Usos being once again reunited.

The crowd inside SoFi stadium was fiercely in the corner of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens throughout the bout, and the emotional story between the two sides rose to a climax near the end of the match when Kevin Owens tagged in Sami as Jey Uso was the legal man. Jimmy tried to interfere and save his brother, but Owens delivered a stunner and allowed Zayn to take the victory.

The long history between Sami and Jey was evident on Zayn’s face as he delivered a Helluva kick and pinned him to the mat. He and Owens celebrated their victory in the ring to heavy adulation from the Los Angeles Crowd.

The Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens Fairytale Continues

The ballad of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens took its latest twist on the March 17th edition of SmackDown when the pair finally reunited after months of uncertainty. Zayn and Owens had been at odds while the former embraced his role as the ‘Honorary Uce,’ but the turning point came at the Royal Rumble when Zayn refused to strike KO with a chair, instead hitting Reigns.

Owens then came to Zayn’s aid at Elimination Chamber but was initially hesitant to fully embrace his former friend.

Zayn and Owens have a lengthy real-life friendship going back many years before they even arrived in WWE, ensuring their WrestleMania win will be remembered as one of the feel-good moments of the year.
