Jey Uso Vs Jimmy Uso Pitched For WrestleMania 40

Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso - The Usos

At least one member of WWE’s creative team is pushing for the company to hold off on a huge Jey Uso vs. Jimmy Uso clash.

Up until August 5th, The Usos has been a united force. They’ve spent the entirety of their time on the main roster together working through some bumps along the way. Heading into Money In The Bank they were hell-bent on taking down Roman Reigns, and in a wild main event in London, they managed it, beating the Tribal Chief and Solo Sikoa.

However, on the following episode of SmackDown, Jimmy was taken out of action by Reigns and Sikoa, leaving Jey to seek revenge. This set up a match between Jey and Reigns at SummerSlam. At the summer spectacular the pair tried to destroy each other, and Jey was denied a stunning victory after a returning Jimmy attacked him while he had Reigns pinned.

This act of betrayal has seemingly set up a storyline between the two brothers, but according to Wrestle Votes, despite pressure from one member of creative, it’s unlikely to run all the way to WrestleMania 40.

“Hearing that at least one creative force backstage wants WWE to wait for WrestleMania to do the first Uso ‘Brother v Brother’ match. However that’s unlikely at this point I’m told, with the feeling that 35 weeks is too long of a stretch.”

What Does Jey Uso Think About A WrestleMania Match?

It seems that it’s not just the WWE creative team that wants The Usos to battle at WrestleMania. Speaking shortly after Money In The Bank, Jey Uso revealed that he’d love to face his brother at WrestleMania.

Roman Reigns is set to appear on the August 11th episode of SmackDown for “Hail To The Chief.” This is despite suffering an injury at SummerSlam.

Still carving out his own legacy as a singles wrestler, Jey Uso revealed a surprising WWE goal that is top of the list.
