Kevin Nash has drawn comparisons between Kenny Omega and Sean Waltman, explaining that both can “have a match with anybody.”

In a recent edition of his weekly “Kliq This” podcast, Kevin Nash discussed Sean Waltman’s recent interest in reviving his in-ring career. Waltman made a couple of well-received appearances for GCW last year, but hasn’t stepped in the squared circle since.

While discussing Waltman, Kevin Nash drew parallels between his close friend and current AEW talent, Kenny Omega.

“Has anybody seen the match that Kenny Omega had with an 8-year-old Japanese girl? I watched it last night, and some of that s–t looked stiff.”

“Kenny reminds me of Sean Waltman — where he can just have a match with anybody. I’ve always been a huge fan of Kenny’s because of the fact that Kenny would even do that match. [It] was another notch in why he’s my favorite [wrestler].”

It’s a comparison that isn’t at all unfavourable. Sean Waltman had a good reputation during his time in WWF/E and WCW as being a dab hand in the ring, and capable of working a variety of wrestling styles.

Omega and Waltman have not stood across the ring from one another in their careers, but with Waltman’s in-ring return looking likely, the phrase “never say never” comes to this writer’s mind.

Will Kenny Omega Appear At AEW WrestleDream?

Kenny Omega is indeed booked for AEW’s newest Pay-Per-View: WrestleDream.

He will feature in a six-man tag on the show, teaming with Chris Jericho and Kota Ibushi, to take on the formidable trio of Will Ospreay, Konosuke Takeshita and Sammy Guevara.

It will be Omega’s first in-ring appearance since his loss to Takeshita at AEW All Out at the start of the month.
