WWE Survivor Series 2023: Big Changes Expected

WWE Survivor Series 2023: Major Changes Expected

The 2023 WWE Survivor Series will undergo major alterations.

Following on from Survivor Series looking to be a sellout, the originally planned set has been scrapped to sell more tickets. As seen by the social media account WrestleTix, 4 more sections have been opened, resulting in an extra 2,784 seats made available for the event.

Furthermore, Haus of Wrestling has been told that the Titantron that is a staple of WWE events will not be featured and could instead see a smaller monitor above the entranceway or no monitor at all. Additionally, a WWE source told Haus of Wrestling that there will be a basic ramp, giving the November show a “very old school MSG style.” It is also noted that the arena could be modified even further to open up more sections and sell more seats if demand continues.

Why Are Changes Being Made For WWE Survivor Series?

When Haus of Wrestling asked why the changes were being made, the answer given was simply “demand.” The upcoming Survivor Series has seen an unprecedented number of tickets sold for the event that has seen interest dip in the past few years, with many feeling that Money in the Bank is now a bigger show than one of the company’s longest-running events.

It is also stated that multiple rumours have helped to shift more tickets for the Chicago show. It was first reported that this would be the event that a CM Punk return would be the most likely as it is in front of his native crowd. However, reports would later surface that denied any talks of a return of Punk so fans would not go into the show with high expectations.

The former AEW star has not been the only big name rumoured to be making a return in November. After being out of action for over a year, rumours have increased that Randy Orton could be making his long-awaited debut at the major event.
